First introduced in March 2014 , Olympus Tough TG-3 is a 16.0MP Waterproof camera with a 1/2.3' (6.17 x 4.55 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor, built-in Image Stabilization, weather sealed body and 4.0x zoom 25-100 mm F2.0-4.9 lens. Olympus TG-3 has a 16.0MP 1/2.3' (6.17 x 4.55 mm ) sized BSI-CMOS sensor and features TruePic VII processor. You can shoot at maximum resolution of 4608 x 3456 pixels with aspect ratios of and 3:2. TG-3 has a native ISO range of 100 - 6400 but unfortunately, Olympus TG-3 doesn't have RAW file support. If you need a Compact camera with a RAW support, consider Nikon Coolpix P7800 or Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II in the same price range.

Olympus TG-3 has a Fixed Type 3.00-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 460k dots. Both the screen size and the screen resolution is up to the standards of this class.

Olympus TG-3 Connectivity, Storage and Battery

Olympus TG-3 features built-in wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity ( 802.11b/g/n with remote control) which lets you transfer your photos directly to compatible devices without any physical connection. One other feature that we like is the ability to use our smartphone as a remote to control our TG-3. You can change camera settings, release shutter, view LCD screen and tranfer files using remote control app.

You can connect TG-3 to compatible devices via its HDMI port or USB 2.0 (480 Mbit/sec) port.

With Olympus TG-3, you can record your videos at a highest resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 30p fps and save in H.264 and Motion JPEG formats.
