Sony today announced that they have been the Number 1 Selling Mirrorless camera and mirrorless lens manufacturer in North America in 2021. In the press release, they also released some interesting sales information gathered by The NPD Group/Retail Tracking Service, U.S.

 

Sony A7 III Best Selling FF ILC in US 2018-2021

 

Some of the exciting information was that the Sony Alpha A7 III have been the best selling Full frame ILC Camera for 4 year in a row, that means 2018 to 2021.

 

Sony A7 IV Breaks the Highest Single-Week Sales Record

 

The other information was as our title suggests, the new Sony Alpha A7 IV  broke to highest single-week sales record for the week of December 19-25, 2021! A very impressive start for sure, looks like we have a new boss in town. It will be interesting to see how the things will change in 2022.

Additionally, newer innovations such as the new Alpha 7 IV have started to set early sales records.  For the week of December 19-25, 2021, the Alpha 7 IV had the highest single-week sales of any mirrorless interchangeable lens camera line in the last four years[vi].
